The ‘ Modi ’fication of Indian politics The whole country is divided in two parts- ‘Pro-Modi’ and ‘Anti-Modi ‘- the sad part is that if you are Pro-modi , you are categorized as ‘Communal’ and if you are anti modi , you are ‘Secular’…Now whatever ‘Secular’ means , It certainly cannot mean ‘Liking’ or ‘Disliking’ a person. Another theory that is equally vague is the one Nitish Kumar propogated few days back- “we will support if Advani is at the helm but will walk away if Modi will be the PM candidate”…. Nitish is a great leader and doing pretty good and I respect him for that but certainly this logic is even more illogical than the Duckworth –Lewis system.A party stands for an ideology , you either support or reject that ideology. How can you support an individual in a political party,I have no idea. The barometer of secularism is confined to just one thing-how much can u criticize Modi .
