IBM India Cloud Forum 2017: My Experience!!!!

Image
There are certain events that take your breath away by displaying the sheer magnitude of possibilities. One such event that I attended yesterday was IBM India Cloud Forum 2017. Conducted at the prestigious Grand Hyatt, Mumbai,  the event was summarized by Fashion Designer Falguni Shane Peacock when she said that this isn’t the future of Technology, this is THE TECHNOLOGY. The event started with a keynote address by Mr. Karan Bajwa, Managing Director, IBM India. He explained the entire ecosystem around IBM Watson, the cloud platform offered by the Company and focussed on data security and scale of business. With business moving on the Cloud and technology integration is a challenge faced by CIOs and CXOs all across, this was a problem that need to be addressed and Mr. Bajwa did a fine job. I especially liked when he said that Technology may change, architecture will remain intact for the next two to three decades. This was an interesting observation on which even Honda VP and Operatin

The ‘Modi’fication of Indian politics

The ‘ Modi ’fication of Indian politics The whole country is divided in two parts- ‘Pro-Modi’ and ‘Anti-Modi ‘- the sad part is that if you are Pro-modi , you are categorized as ‘Communal’ and if you are anti modi , you are ‘Secular’…Now whatever ‘Secular’ means , It certainly cannot mean ‘Liking’ or ‘Disliking’ a person. Another theory that is equally vague is the one Nitish Kumar propogated few days back- “we will support if Advani is at the helm but will walk away if Modi will be the PM candidate”…. Nitish is a great leader and doing pretty good and I respect him for that but certainly this logic is even more illogical than the Duckworth –Lewis system.A party stands for an ideology , you either support or reject that ideology. How can you support an individual in a political party,I have no idea. The barometer of secularism is confined to just one thing-how much can u criticize Modi . From CBI to IB all govenment machinery have been given the task to polarize voters( as

A Generation Retired- Sachin

There have been so many companies in which I am not getting shortlisted because of my marks in Boards but I have never regretted  not studying because all those while I was doing something more valuable ,which at that moment was more important, cheering Sachin in 2003 World Cup and those are the memories of a lifetime .  The sheer magic of watching him LIVE has not been a privilege, But a necessity .  The generation of Late 80’s and early 90’s are so obsessed with Change that had there been a way to present that in a Formula , Sachin had been the only ‘ Constant’ in between other  ‘variables ‘ and so when He says the dreaded ‘R’ letter word –  It isn’t sumthing one can digest easily. Saurav, Lakshman, Rahul and Anil were also pillars of Indian Cricket but he was more….He was the foundation-  If 83 world cup brought fans to the stadium , Sachin ensured that they remain glued through the magic of the wonder kid . In a country whose National game was Hockey , It was Sachin who ensured

Change has changed!!!!

The management that we know is where the ‘Leader’ puts his ‘vision’ and his team relentlessly pursues it with all available resources. Management is the art of getting things done , the methods we use to bring people to mobilize and organize resources for productive ends .Actually , Present Management practices the employees to be semi-programmed Robots- to enable them to accomplish the same task again and again .Future organizations need to change this dogma. They have to be like Amoeba-shapeless and continuous changing. Today we are in a world where change is unrelenting, change is astonishing and even change is changing at an exponential pace. We are living in an age where ‘Knowledge’ has become a commodity and only ‘Knowledge’ cannot provide a sustainable competitive advantage. The Management of future is the race to ‘create’ new knowledge faster than your competitors. It is imperative that in Future the management should be more ‘inclusive’ and should foster an environment

The Journey from India Gate to Gateway of India – Delhi Vs Mumbai

Whatever Little HR Management I have learnt ,There is a Theory called as Herzberg  Two Factor Theory which says that In an Organization the opposite of “satisfaction” is not “Dissatisfaction” but its “No satisfaction” , Similarly when I say that I love Delhi , It doesn’t necessarily means that I hate Mumbai  . For a change , I love both Delhi and Mumbai and in this Blog, I would be discussing about the contrasts yet merits of both these cities . Let me start with one of my favourite cities- Delhi . Everytime , I go to Delhi , I find it a ‘New’ Delhi . I have Lived in Delhi NCR for 3 years and the love and homeliness that this city provided me  was second to none. Living in Delhi is not a Rocket Science But surely , Its an art. You have to learn the art of shoulder pushing people in a crowded DTC bus and make make pave for yourself  . To bargain in delhi is an art you must learn at the earliest, Unlike Mumbai where Auto run through meter, In delhi they run at the mercy of Autowal

Why I Love Sachin Tendulkar !!!

I   still remember those days when sachin was competing with Brian Lara , Mark Waugh , Saeed Anwar, Sanath jayasurya for that crown-The record of who will   be the first one to break   Desmond Haynes Record of 17 ODI’s hundred . I still remember that ecstasy when he was the first one to break that record. I clearly remember when the first time that thought occurred -   " Can he ever get a hundredth hundred" , But just like love stories seldomly have happy endings , the next moment I started to ‘Doubt’ . My mind was winning over my heart.   I rationalized that just like all my weird dreams ,Its also one of them. But there is a more weird thing with ‘Weird Dreams’ …..They stay with you….. I was growing and so was Sachin...Everytime   I used to hear about tennis Elbow, Shoulder injury, Toe injury, hamstring injury, Out of Form….My mind used to nail down my heart ….. But , I don’t know why ‘Hearts’ are the synonyms of ‘Hope’ , Like a phoenix , it got buried somewhere deep inside

My Take on Almighty !!!!

Let me start with a question…. Is your God Omnipotent ??? … “Yes”…Can he make a stone which he himself couldn’t move??….Ohhh…so sad of you and your God na !!!!!  nyways, you would have understood by now the topic of discussion…. I will start with the year 1995… I was in class 5th and one fine day or rather Evening , Shivji started drinking Milk… I remember the queue outside temple in my Colony…. I offered him milk myself and  there were people saying that if he drink milk devotee will go to Heaven otherwise Hell…. Everybody insisted that God is giving proof of his existence ….To this day , I question myself Does God to drink milk one day in 25 years(hasn’t done since than) to prove sombdy something…How trivial ???? nyways…First Let me introduce myself…I am a believer…I know Hanuman chalisa and Ganesha aarti by throat just lyk I know tables upto 10 … I visit Vaishno Devi and Krishna Janmbhumi and whenever I pass by a temple I fold my hand and thank god for everything he ha
